Welcome to the LaSalle High School Track and Field Web Site. The Track and Field Lancers have a rich history. We promote hard work - athletically, academically, and spiritually. Our team members strive to be winners on the track and off. Led by Head Coach Frank Russo since 1982, we always compete at 100%, yet expect all of our runners to demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship at all times. It's a formula that has made the LaSalle Track and Field program the best in Cincinnati (and now state).

Headlines

9/6/2011- La Salle will be honoring the 2011 state champion track team at the first home football game of the year, against Lakota East, on September 9th. If you were invited to the post season picture shoot and ring sizing (coaches and athletes), you are invited to the recognition ceremony as an honoree. The honorees will receive free admission that night. (Parents and others must purchase a ticket if they would like to attend.) We do not have everyone’s email address who is invited, so please help spread the word to your team-mates who competed in the state tournament (district through state meets).

Mrs. Kinney asks that athletes who are planning to attend contact her at kkinney@lasallehs.net so she can put you on the pass list. She needs the names by September 8th. We hope to see a large turnout so the La Salle family can honor those who brought the championship home.

Welcome to LaSalleTrack.org, the online home of the 2011 State Champion LaSalle Lancers! The season concluded on June 4th, 2011 with LaSalle winning the Ohio State High School Division 1 Championship Meet in Columbus, OH. This was after winning the GCL league meet, the district meet, and placing as runner up at regional. Congratulations to our Lancer track team.

7/26/2011 - Championship commemorative clothing is here! Hurry, time is limited. Order by 8/15/2011.

It’s here! Clothing commemorating the Lancer’s state championship is now available. Athletes who competed in the tournament meets will receive a cotton t-shirt from La Salle at a later date. The items available through this online web store offer a variety and many are made of performance fabrics. Now is your chance to buy those new “favorite” items to wear to show your Lancer Pride, or to keep factory fresh as a memento of the great accomplishment (or both!). 7/11/2011 - We are glad to bring you the first look at the new logo to commemorate the Big Red Express' Division 1 State Championship in 2011. You'll soon be seeing it in materials to honor the accomplishment. You'll also be able to buy items featuring the logo as keepsakes. We'll announce other information about the logo and commemorative items shortly. The logo is the work of La Salle Track and Field alumnus Dave Padgett. Dave designed this logo and a few other great ones. The hardest part was deciding which one would be the "official" logo. Coaches, staff and others who saw the choices decided on this one. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you see the other logos show up somewhere too. They are too good to waste. Thanks Dave! And now, without further ado . . .

7/7/2011 - Shortly after winning the 2011 state championship, members of the Lancer track team appeared on WCPO's Sports of All Sorts with John Popovich. You can see it here. (There are about 15 seconds of blank video at the beginning.)

7/29/2011 - 2011 was an outstanding year in Track & Field at La Salle High School. The Lancers broke school records, stadium records, and many have earned places on the state honor roll. These accomplishments are displayed on boards on the concession stand in Lancer Stadium. The boards will be updated soon, but you do not have to wait. You can view the lastest versions of the record boards right now. Click here to view them.
